Semiya Payasam/Vermicelli Kheer




Ingredients

Semiya/Vermicelli-1/2 cup
Water-1 cup
Milk-2 cups
Sugar-1/4 cup
Elaichi powder-1tsp
Cashews-5
Raisins-5
Ghee

Method of preparation

1)Heat 1tsp of ghee in a pan.Add raisins and cashews to it.
2)When cashews are golden brown add semiya/vermicelli to it and fry till semiya is golden brown.
3)Add water to it and cook for 5 minutes.
4)Add milk,sugar and Elaichi powder and cook for 7 more minutes.
->cooking semiya in water reduces the cooking time.
