Spinach/Palak/Palakura Chutney




Ingredients

Spinach/Palak/Palakura-1 lb
Green chillies-6
Garlic pods-3
Roasted Peanuts-1/2 cup
Tamarind pulp-1tsp
Jeera-1tsp
Salt
Oil-2tsp

For seasoning

Mustard seeds - 1tsp
Urad dal-1tsp
Chana dal-1tsp
Turmeric-a pinch
Curry leaves

Method of preparation

1)Wash and chop the spinach finely and keep it aside.
2)Take a pan heat 1tsp of oil.Add green chillies,garlic pods and fry for 1 minute.
3)Add chopped spinach to it and fry till it is soft.Add jeera,salt and turn off the heat.
4)Add peanuts to the blender and run it for half minute.Now add the cooked spinach,tamarind pulp to it and run the blender till smooth paste.
5)Heat a tsp of oil in other pan and do the seasoning with mustard seeds,urad dal,chana dal,turmeric,curry leaves.
6)serve it with hot rice.
