Kakarakaya vepudu/Bittergourd Fry


Bitter gourd/Kakarakaya/Karela-5 small
Onion-1 small
Green chillies-2
Red chilli powder-1/2tsp
Turmeric-a pinch
Jagerry-1 small cube

For seasoning
Urad dal/Minapappu-1tsp
Chana dal/Senagapappu-1tsp
Mustard seeds -1tsp
Red chilli-1
Curry leaves

Method of preparation
1)Cut Bittergourd in to small pieces.Boil them in hot water.Let it cool squeeze the water from it and keep it aside.
2)Heat oil in a pan and add the seasoning and turmeric.Add chopped onions,green chillies to it.
3)When the onions are light brown add bitter gourd pieces to it.Fry it for 10 minutes.Add salt,red chilli powder and finally jagerry.Fry it for 3 more minutes.
4)Serve it with hot rice.
