Sweet kajalu

Kajalu is a traditional andhra sweet made for festivals.


Maida/All purpose flour-2 cups
Salt-a pinch
Sugar-2 cups

Method of preparation

1)Take a bowl add maida,ghee,luke warm water and knead it well for 5 minutes.Leave it covered with wet cloth on top of it for 30 minutes.
2)Make small balls from the dough and roll it like thin like poori.
3)Cut them with knife in to small pieces like squares or diamonds.
4)Heat oil and deep fry them till golden brown.
5)Take another bowl add sugar,cardamon and water to it and make string consistency.
6)Drop the fried kajalu in to the sugar syrup.
