Palli putnalu chutney/Peanut Dalia chutney



Ingredients

Roasted Peanuts-1 cup
Putnalu/Dalia-1/4 cup
Green chillies-3
Tamarind pulp-1tsp
Garlic pods-2
Salt
Sugar(optional)-1/4tsp
Oil-1tsp

For seasoning

Mustard seeds - 1tsp
Urad dal-1tsp
Chana dal-1tsp
Turmeric-a pinch
curry leaves

Method of preparation

1)Heat 1 tsp of oil in a pan.Add green chillies,garlic and fry for a minute.
2)Blend the green chillies,garlic,dalia,roasted peanuts,tamarind pulp,salt,sugar in to a smooth paste.
3)Heat a tsp of oil in other pan and do the seasoning with mustard seeds,urad dal,chana dal,turmeric,curry leaves.
4)Serve it with idlis,dosas.
5)Adding sugar is optional.My MIL adds a bit of sugar to chutneys when using peanuts.This gives a nice taste.
