Bendakaya chutney/okra chutney


Bendakaya/okra-1 lb
green chillies-5
garlic pods-3
Tamarind pulp-1tsp

For seasoning

Mustard seeds - 1tsp
Urad dal-1tsp
Chana dal-1tsp
Turmeric-a pinch
curry leaves

Method of preparation

1)Cut bendis/okras in to small pieces and keep them aside.
2)Take a pan heat 1tsp of oil.Add green chillies and fry for 1 minute.
3)Add cut bendis to it and fry till it is soft.Add garlic pods,jeera,salt and turn off the heat.Add tamarind pulp to it.
4)Blend it in mixer in to a coarse paste.
5)Heat a tsp of oil in other pan and do the seasoning with mustard seeds,urad dal,chana dal,turmeric,curry leaves.
6)serve it with hot rice.
